Bryce Canyon

After our laundry mat visit, we hit the road headed for Bryce Canyon.  We found a spot at the campground and quickly made our way to the Visitor Center.  This was becoming routine:  watch the movie, talk about hikes with a ranger, get the Junior Ranger booklets.  We saw some friends from St. Patrick's at the Visitor's Center.  They are on a 2-month tour in their modified Sprinter van.  They filled us in on the park and their 4 days at Zion.  It was great to see some familiar faces!

We quickly went to a ranger-led talk on the Bryce ampitheatre rim.  This was informative and qualified for the the Jr. Ranger program.  We leaned a lot about the formations, history, and flora of Bryce Canyon.

Beautiful birds at the higher elevations of Bryce.
