After hiking the Narrows, we were ready for a swim. There was a great rope swing near the campground.
While the kids were thoroughly entertained with the swing and Karen was content to relax by the water's edge, I returned to the Watchman trail for a run. I had just been in the water, so my shoes were still wet; nothing new for me. It was 3:00pm and 105-110 degrees, my shoes were dry by completion- I love the Southwest! Had a great run to the summit vista, and returned to the Virgin River to cool off in the rapids. Heaven for me.
We went into nearby Springdale, UT for a birthday dinner for Karen. It is a quaint little village catering to the Zion tourists and Karen chose an authentic Mexican restaurant. We had a great dinner and reflected on our visit.
On to Hurricane UT.
